Hello October!

Hello Lovelies!

Since Fall is fastly approaching, today's post is going to be dedicated to recipes, crafts, and styles for the upcoming holidays and cool weather.

Pumpkin Centerpieces

I am in love with this pumpkin centerpiece because of how easy and cheap it is. Simply buy those fake plastic pumpkins that you're seeing around and paint them a gorgeous color to match the decor of your dining room. In the picture above, the pumpkins are setting on a board but you don't even have to do that. Adding a table runner and placing the pumpkins, apples, and deco balls in whatever fashion you want would be much simpler.

Pumpkin Won-tons

Break away from the pumpkin pies this year with Pumpkin filled won-tons. Follow this recipe below for the perfect snack.

Ingredients:
12 Caramel Squares
1 tsp. Water
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
4 oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Canned Pumpkin
1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Flour
1/4 tsp. Orange Zest
20 Won-Ton Wrappers
1 Egg White, Slightly Beaten
2 Cups Oil
1 tbsp. Powdered Sugar

Directions:
Microwave caramels and water in a medium microwaveable bowl on high for 30 seconds.
Stir until caramels are completely melted.
Cool for 2 minutes.
Stir in sour cream and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Whisk cream cheese, pumpkin, brown sugar, flour, zest, and remaining cinnamon until it's well blended.
Spoon 2 tsp. of above mix onto the center of each won-ton wrapper
Moisten the edges with egg whites and fold diagonally in half.
Pinch the edges together tightly to seal.
Heat oil in a large saucepan on medium heat.
Once oil starts to bubble, add won-tons
Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly brown
Drain and cool slightly.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with the caramel sauce!

Fall Styles

Knits, oversized sweaters, and cardigans are perfect for the chilly weather. Here are some of my favorite ways to wear them!

Happy Fall!

Stripes, Stripes, and more Stripes!

Hello Lovelies!

Today's post is dedicated to my latest craft project. I wanted a super unique art piece to match my blue and brown bedroom theme so I made it using a canvas, paint, and tape.

Here is the final result:

While mine is a simple brown and blue, you can do any kind of texture or even add spray paint a pattern onto the top, over the tape. Also, instead of doing random stripes you could do vertical or horizontal stripes.

What you'll need:
-Canvas
-2 Colors of Paint (Or more depending on your pattern)
-Masking tape of any size
-Paint Brush

Start off with your blank canvas.

Color your bottom layer. This is the color the stripes will be.

Add your tape with whatever style you want whether it be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal stripes.

Paint your top color on. I did 2 coats of the blue, and I suggest you do the same.

Wait for your paint to dry and then peal off and hang up! It's super easy and looks really neat

Renovated Vases

Whether it be a wedding, a party, or just around the house, these gorgeous vases will always make a statement.

Everyone has an old vase that once sparkled but now is dull and worn with time. All you'll need for this refreshing DIY project is:
  • Vases
  • Acrylic Paint
  1. Open the bottle and completely remove the cap. Poor some of the paint into the vase and swirl around until the entire inside of the vase is covered. If needed, use a paint brush to make sure you get all of the edges. Feel free to get creative and mix colors you know will go well together.
  2. Turn the vase upside down and let the excess paint drain back into the paint bottle.
  3. Set them upright or upside down and let dry over night.
  4. Adorn with flowers, fake plant arrangements, or even cooking utensils!
