Newspaper Nails Tutorial

What you’ll need:

A nail polish color of your choosing. Light colors and neutrals look best, though
A clear top coat of nail polish
Rubbing alcohol
Newspaper pages, preferably ones with bigger font
Step 1: Paint your nails your neutral color. I chose a light, semi-sheer pink from Forever 21.
Let your nails dry completely before starting step 2.
The next steps you will do finger by finger

Step 2: Dip your finger in the rubbing alcohol, there is no specific length of time you need to hold it in there.

Step 3: Take a strip of newspaper, and place it onto your rubbing alcohol soaked fingernail. Then you’re going to press the newspaper onto your nail with one of your free fingers. Hold down for as long as you want, I did mine for a minute. It also doesn’t hurt to sprinkle a few drops of rubbing alcohol onto the newspaper as it sits on your finger to keep it saturated.

Step 4: Slowly peel off the newspaper. Going off too quickly will take the text off with it.

Step 5: Paint your clear top coat onto your finger nails thoroughly. Make sure you have a thick, even coat.

Voila! Newspaper nails!

Sorry for the crappy quality in the pictures, I was taking these with my ipod.
Here are some better examples I found off the internet :)

You could even mix it up and use the crossword puzzle as above :)
Good luck trying it out on your own!

 Love Always, Kelsey
